Hörmann sectional garage doors the first with Secured by Design accreditation
Hörmann automatic sectional garage doors have been awarded a Secured by Design status. This is the first accreditation in the garage doors industry for automatic sectional and automatic timber sectional garage doors.
Please note that this accreditation applies to the combination of Hörmann insulated or solid timber sectional doors with the Series 3 BiSecur ProMatic or SupraMatic operators.
- The double skinned, 20 mm and 42 mm insulated sectional doors both feature solid, CFC free polyurethane insulation that gives them strength and rigidity.
- Please note that the 20 mm insulated door is 42mm thick at the section joints and 20mm thick across each panel.
- For the 42 mm insulated door this insulation is a constant 42mm thick, leading to even better thermal values.
- Hörmann solid timber sectional doors are offered in a number of styles and you also have the option to have your own individual design recreated by Hörmann.
- Please note that these doors can be ordered in either Nordic Pine or Hemlock.
- Also the important parts of the Secured by Design accreditation are the ProMatic and SupraMatic operators which both feature a mechanical lock. This unique automatic latching system makes it almost impossible to lever these doors open, and as it is a purely mechanical system, it remains fully functional even in the event of a power failure.
- Another additional security feature of the latest operators is the Hörmann BiSecur system. This system has a two-way communication between the hand transmitter and operator. It uses FM radio signals that rely on the same 128 bit encryption used for online banking. Not only does this system make the transmitters more secure but also means that the signal is more reliable while extending operating distances.
- Another benefit of the system is that it includes a remote status query. All you have to do is to simply push a button and it will tell you whether an out of sight door is open or closed.
- Additionally matching entrance doors are available including the HörmannThermoPro range that also has Secured by Design accreditation. Please note however, the accreditation does not cover these entrance doors when fitted with a side glazing elements.
