Fort Cedar Garage Doors are a well priced wooden garage doors aimed at contract, trade and price conscious DIY customers who require a timber faced garage door at competitive prices. Standard sizes and made to measure available from 5ft to 14ft (1520mm to 4267mm) wide and 5’6” to 7’6” (1676mm x 2286mm) high. The solid cedar faced doors exude the natural beauty of cedar, which is light, stable, rot resistant and well priced compared to hardwood. Panelled models constructed from solid cedar stiles and rails with cedar faced plywood panels. Due to the clever construction method consisting of a lightweight but strong galvanised and powder coated steel chassis the Fort cedar door is inherently strong stable and light. The cedar door face is cleverly fixed onto this chassis. Doors can come with a pre-installed dark brown steel goalpost frame for quick and easy on-site installation. All Fort cedar doors come as standard with a factory spray applied basecoat. This seals the wood from grubby finger marks, transit dust and dirt and offers a good base for on-site finishing, by other. Minimal moisture protection is given by the basecoat and the door should be top coated prior to installation, or immediately afterwards. Secure cable operated two-point locking comes as standard, with keys and an ergonomically designed black plastic handle. Multi-point locking upgrade available at little extra cost.
Timber can be hand selected to create two or more matching doors. Please state this request when ordering. Please note that cedar varies quite dramatically in colour from light to dark and an element of random planking will be present on all doors.

Both Canopy and Retractable mechanisms are available, both with CE marked fall-arrest anti-drop mechanisms. Canopy mechanism only available on doors upto 9ft wide. Please note that some width restriction occurs on the retractable version due to the retractable lifting arms slightly protruding into the opening. This is common to all makes of retractable garage door.
