Personal Details

Jeff was one of our first freelance fitters. He has been installing garage doors for Arridge Garage Door customers for roughly 20 years. He had a stint in Canada with his young family where he worked as a garage door fitter. Two decades later the young family has grown up and his son Elliot now works with him on most jobs.
Jeff enjoys walking, camping holidays to Wales, Cornwall and Europe and grows various types of tomato as a type of therapy away from his life installing garage doors all over the North West and beyond.

A convert from rugby league to rugby union (not sure if he’s related to the Farrell’s) Jeff is our leading fitter on number of doors fitted, size of area covered, range of doors fitted and by the number of years he has been providing a high quality guaranteed installation service for Arridge customers.

In January 2023 Jeff installed a 7.6 metre wide Carteck supersize sectional door for a customer of ours in Stoke with a direct drive shaft motor, industrial gear and a safety edge with no problems. He fitted 3 Cedar Door sectionals in Scotland in late 2022 for another Arridge customer. No problem.
Many fitters consciously avoid such doors but not Jeff. He will install any of the doors listed below and more.

Three years on and it's still 5 stars from me! After the despair of Monday (reversing the motorhome into the garage door), Tuesday afternoon brought Jeff and Elliot and although we puzzled over how to deal with the bow in the door Jeff eventually decided to try something to ease the door end from the strengthening ridge in the side runner. Suddenly there was a loud bang and the door went directly back to normal!! Almost unbelievable! It goes to show how well made and strong the doors are especielly with the extra depth side runners.
After a bit of testing it was running up and down as needed and since the motorhome only needed a rubber mark removed - one very happy customer! HUGE brownie pointa for Jeff and Elliot. Gill Woodend
