The popular doors for the Channel Islands seem to be sectional garage doors and roller garage doors.
- Sectional and Roller doors rise vertically, hence not catching any winds. They also maximise the drive-through width and height, and are available in various materials, finishes and designs. Very importantly, these doors come ideally packaged from the manufacturer for the sea journey over to the islands.
- The insulated roller doors come in bubble wrap and heavy duty cardboard (export plywood crates on request, at extra cost). The Hormann sectional doors come as shown in the photo on the right of this screen i.e. panels packed face inwards in a timber-edged crate arrangement.
- Some customers purchase up and over garage doors but, due to their size and lack of packaging, they need to be handled and transported very carefully to eliminate the possibility of damage.
