This locking mechanism and handle is not included if the automatic version of the door is purchased.
A deep bottom rubber built into a reinforced bottom rail minimising draught and debris getting under the door.
The reinforced bottom rail also adds strength and rigidity to the bottom of the door minimising deflection in the door and greatly adding to the security.
Roller diameter is 420mm on doors upto 7’ high.
Roller diameter is 450mm on doors upto 8’ high.
Any unused door height remains on the roll.
If headroom available is less than the roller diameter the door will hang down in the opening and entrance height will be reduced.

On the automatic door the Glidermatic motor is factory installed into the either Left Hand or Right Hand end of the roller (looking out). Comes with control box with courtesy light and 2 hand sets.
Size help for Gliderol non insulated roller doors.
All Gliderol continuous curtain roller doors are made to measure.
Sizes shown are overall curtain sizes including the curtain that sits in the guide channel each side.
Sizes available from 1200mm wide to 5000mm wide and from 1200mm high to 5000mm high.
Doors are made in 12” or 300mm height increments. Any unused door height remains on the roll. Order the next height up, for example if floor to lintel height is 7’2”, then order the 8’0” high door.
All widths are made to measure to your exact size.
On roller doors UPTO 11’0” wide, 25mm of curtain sits in the guides each side, please order door at least 50mm wider than aperture.
On roller doors OVER 11’0” wide, 50mm of curtain sits in the guides each side, please order door at least 100mm wider than aperture.
Ordering size example:
Plan view of aperture with Gliderol door fitted.
Aperture size is 2300mm, 25mm of door curtain has to sit in guide channel each side. Overall curtain size – ORDERING SIZE – is 2350mm.
Minimum reveal each side 90mm on SINGLE doors upto 11’0” wide on A guides.
Minimum reveal each side 125mm on DOUBLE doors over 11’0” wide on AA guides. N.B. If Glidermatic motor to be fitted on either Left Hand or Right Hand side looking out, please add 20mm to the above reveal sizes.
TIP: If side room is limited, timber uprights can be added to create large enough reveals to fit the door. TIP: If the reveals are wide enough, order the door that is wider than the ordering size calculated using the above formula. This hides the visible edges of the galvanized guide channels and gives a neater appearance. Also adds security. Approximately 30-40mm each side will fully hide the guide channel, when viewed from the front.
Headroom requirement for Gliderol roller doors.
Gliderol roller door headroom requirement diagram If the specified amount of headroom behind the lintel is not available the door can still be installed, some of the roll will show below the lintel and the entrance height will be reduced. TIP: If headroom is limited, you can create enough headroom by building a timber facia and installing the roller behind it. Check sufficient entrance height is achieved.
