Gliderol Series B Light Industrial Roller Doors made-to-measure.

Gliderol Series B Light Industrial continuous curtain roller door is made to measure as standard, and comes in numerous plastisol colours, all at no extra cost. This Light Industrial Gliderol door comes with 2” (50mm) guide channels each side. Width sizes given include a 50mm overlap each side of the opening. Opening should therefore be at least 100mm smaller than sizes given. Doors are fitted with 1:1 Direct Chain Hoists. Extra large doors are fitted with 4:1 Direct Chain Hoists. Automatic doors upto approximately 12 square meters come with the Glidermatic dual motor. On doors over this size the IGDU industrial motor is required. If you are not sure which one to order please phone 01691 670394.

This door cannot be fitted on the front of an opening. For under the lintel/between the piers installations a rugby post frame and facia would have to be fitted first. Entrance width and height will be reduced. For such installations go to Aluroll insulated roller door.

  • The heavy duty galvanized steel guide channels fix behind the brick piers and guide the curtain up and down.
  • The curtain edges have industrial nylon webbing stapled each side for smooth quiet gliding in the channels.
  • Available as a manual or automatic door.
  • Roller diameter is 460mm on doors upto 2400mm high.
  • Roller diameter is 490mm on doors 3000mm high.
  • Roller diameter is 530mm on doors over 3000mm high.
  • Any unused door height remains on the roll.
  • The main roller barrel has a central shaft which sits on a large gallows bracket at each end.
  • The brackets are included. These need to be well fixed as they take the full weight of the door.
  • Two point steel rod operated locking with keys is included on the manual door.
  • This locking mechanism and handle is not included if the automatic version of the door is purchased.
  • A deep bottom rubber built into a reinforced bottom rail minimising draught and debris getting under the door.
  • The reinforced bottom rail also adds strength and rigidity to the bottom of the door minimising deflection in the door and greatly adding to the security.
  • On the automatic door the Glidermatic motor is factory installed into the either Left Hand or Right Hand end of the roller (looking out). Comes with control box with courtesy light and 2 hand sets.
The durable exterior plastisol coating to the door curtain has a 10-year manufacturer’s guarantee. There is a 6-year guarantee on mechanical parts and 2-year guarantee on automation.

Width.

TIP:
If side room is limited, timber uprights can be added to create large enough reveals to fit the door.
TIP:
If the reveals are wide enough, order the door that is wider than the ordering size calculated using the above formula. This hides the visible edges of the galvanized guide channels and gives a neater appearance. Also adds security. Approximately 30-40mm each side will fully hide the guide channel, when viewed from the front.

If the specified amount of headroom behind the lintel is not available the door can still be installed, some of the roll will show below the lintel and the entrance height will be reduced.
TIP:
If headroom is limited, you can create enough headroom by building a timber facia and installing the roller behind it. Check sufficient entrance height is achieved.
