Hormann Rollmatic Garage Doors are high quality insulated roller garage doors made up of interlocking foam-filled aluminium laths. Unlike many roller doors, the guides, box and door curtain all come colour matched in a choice of nine colours and two foil laminate wood grain finishes (Golden Oak and Rosewood).
The Hormann Rollmatic door features extra sturdy wind lock guides which quietly guide the curtain up and down into the aluminium box enclosure at the top. The door is automatic as standard and comes with two handsets and an internally mounted wall control panel with inbuilt courtesy light and up/down switch.
The Hormann Rollmatic door is generally installed onto the rear of the brickwork aperture but between brick / under the lintel fitting is possible.

One of the main advantages of the Rollmatic is that its 24 volt motor (5 year manufacturer’s guarantee) has very little work to do as the door is spring assisted. This spring assistance makes the door quick and light to open in the event of a power cut or if the manual version is preferred. Unlike other rollers, no cranking handles are necessary to manually open the door.
The manual version of the Rollmatic is ideal for garages without power. The door arrives ready for installation straight out of the pallet. It has a mechanical lock down security kit which prevents the door being pushed up forcefully, substantially reducing burglary attempts.
The smooth slats can have very neat glazing inserts or ventilation grilles, if required. Other options include acoustic alarm, battery back-up, external emergency release, chamfered bottom profile, reinforced facia panel for fitting in the opening and a wide variety of hand transmitters, code switches and finger print scanners.
All Rollmatic doors are made to measure and are available from 1000 mm wide up to 5000 mm wide. The ordering size is:
Width - distance between the guides
Height - distance from the floor to bottom of the box enclosure.
The guides are 100mm wide, so check you have room for these to fit. The roller box enclosure at the top is 290 mm square on all doors up to 2300 mm high.
For doors over 2300mm high, the box is 335mm square. When open, approx. 70mm of the door curtain hangs down below the box (140mm on manual version). Ideally, the whole of the box should be accommodated behind the lintel to give maximum entrance height, but if headroom is limited, some of the box can show below the lintel.
