The Hormann Leicester timber up & over garage door is manufactured from premium quality, solid cedar, tongue & grooved planking. This is a superior quality garage door hand-made from durable, solid cedar wood - a perfect fit for the most modern to traditional property types.
The beautiful timber panel is fixed onto a neat, strong and very stable, dark brown, powder-coated, steel chassis.
The vertical planking is set within a solid cedar boundary frame below two rows of Perspex windows. The panel has a double stile down the centre, which gives the appearance of a pair of traditional side-hinged doors.
The Hormann Leicester 2119 comes as standard with a basecoat. Option to have the door fully finished in various shades of wood stain, at nominal extra cost.
The Hormann Leicester comes with a pre-installed retractable counterbalance lifting gear, lock & keys and is available with a retractable mechanism only. Canopy mechanism is not available on this model.
It can come without a handle or lock-hole on request, if the door is to be made electric.

A neat brown, powder coated, metal edge to the door panel is visible. However, the Cedar Door and Woodrite doors do not have this feature.
Solid cedar frame with cedar tongue and groove boarding fitted on a front face of the door panel and exterior grade ply fixed on rear face of the door for extra strength and durability. This door has a strong but lightweight steel and aluminium door panel framework only visible on the rear of the door.
The Hormann Leicester model comes with the black handle is fitted as standard.
Manufacturer’s "10 year Safe and Reliable Guarantee" comes with the door.
The door comes with a dip immersion coat of Sikkens WP560 colour 006 Light Oak which is only a temporary basecoat finish. Additional on-site finishing is required.
A fully finished option is available, at extra cost, in a variety of stain colours: Light Oak, Medium Oak, Dark Oak, Golden Oak, Mahogany, Rosewood, Walnut, Teak, and Ebony.
Please note, darker finishes may not be covered by manufacturer's warranty if installed in a south-facing position due to high heat absorption, which can cause cracking of the woodstain and subsequent ingress of water.

Warranty Period
On Hormann timber doors a warranty of 2 years is granted on the door panels alone under the terms and conditions specified herein.
The timber door mechanism and steel frame (if applicable) is covered by the 10 year warranty period.
The warranty period for replacement parts is 6 months, however, at least the current warranty period.
The purchaser is given a 5-year guarantee from the date of purchase on the springs, wire cables, track rollers, hinges and guide rollers of garage doors in normal use, whereby normal use constitutes no more than 5 door operations (open/close) per day.
Important please note:
After delivery doors must be stored upright, under cover, with wrapping intact, until wrapping is removed.
As soon as the door is unwrapped, one coat of a good quality basecoat primer must be applied to both sides of the door.
Immediately after installation, your timber doors require a further two coats of a good quality exterior wood finish on both sides.
Initial application and periodic treatment should be carried out strictly in accordance with the wood stain manufacturer's instructions.
Failure to follow these instructions will result in early deterioration of the timber panel.
Estimated lead time on Hormann Timber Up & Over garage doors
2-3 weeks for standard ex stock doors with handles in basecoat only. Limited sizes and models only.
6-7 weeks for fully finished doors and non stock doors
At the point of delivery an able-bodied male must be present to assist the driver in offloading the door.
